Volunteer needed for World Festival Network
We are looking for a volunteer to help with the website updating, keeping an eye on the festival database, communicating with people, being an ambassador the World Festival Network and if they feel confident to take on an advertising role.
The roles
Website database
· To seek new festivals that aren’t already listed.
· Make sure the festivals in the guide are also in the calendar.
· To make sure festivals listed have correct info ie links work, festival exists!
· To collect information on potential suppliers / festival related industries.
· Update the Networks list page
· Update the Arts links page
· Get all festivals twitter and Facebook links
· Gather images and logos form festivals
· Up date the forums with info and reviews, generate people to upload info.
Communication
· To contact related websites and try and get a link to WFN site put on them
· To be an ambassador for the WFN, make a list of all the companies/ individuals we should contact about the WFN
· Go to networking events as a member of the World Festival Network
· Seek relevant events, workshops and networking events we could all attend
· Research other festival networks; who, how, where and what?
· Spread the work about World Festival Network events
Funding
· Research funding avenues – European funds etc
· Research business awards we could enter.
· Support in our funding applications
Archive
· Start to gather archive material from Fringe festivals past. IE brochures, PDFs, Radio show pod cast, images, vodcasts etc.
Research
· Look into visa applications for different countries, look to festivals and see how they deal with international performers.
· Research festival application processes, dates & time lines, costs, styles and genres.
Social Networking
· Update the facebook and twitter pages with Google alerts and news
Advertising
If you feel confident you can start to sell advertising for the website. If/when you make a sale you will take 15% of the total amount of each advert. The advertising page is here http://www.worldfestivalnet.com/Advertise.aspx
